July 17, 2008: Lower Swatara welcomed Office Scott Flowers to the Department.  Officer Flowers proudly served as a U.S. Marine prior to joining our force. Congratulations Scott and welcome to Lower Swatara Township.

March 30, 2008 

Detective Robert Appleby was named as The Middletown American Legion Post 594's Police Officer of the Year.

February 27, 2008: Lower Swatara welcomed two new Police Officers to the Department. Ryan Gartland and Ryan  Heitzenrater.  Congratulations and welcome to the Lower Swatara Township Police Department!

September 5, 2007: Lower Swatara welcomed two new Police Officers to the Department. Joshua Malott and Mark Sallada.  Congratulations and welcome to the Lower Swatara Township Police Department!

March 18, 2007

Sergeant Scott Young was named as The Middletown American Legion Post 594's Police Officer of the Year.

Officer Robert Appleby has been reassigned to the Detective Unit as an investigator. He will be working with Detective Thomas Shank.

Officer Appleby, along with two other Officers worked this assignment for a two month period to determine who would be best suited for this assignment. Although the competition was tough, Bob did a fantastic job.
